Country music singer Alan Jackson has announced his plans to extend his farewell concert tour as he battles his sickness.

Alan announced on his Instagram that the “Last Call: One More For the Road” tour will begin August 2nd and run through May 17th, 2025. In early 2022, Alan announced his “One More For The Road Tour,” and this last round of concerts will conclude his touring years.

Alan Jackson Was Diagnosed Back in 2011

In his Instagram post, he shares that he will be visiting the following cities:

Boston, MA
Grand Rapids, MI
Fayetteville, AR
Kansas City, MO
Salt Lake City, UT
Oklahoma City, OK
Fort Worth, TX
Orlando, FL
Tampa, FL
Milwaukee, WI

Alan Jackson announces the tour as he continues to struggle with the rare genetic disease called Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease. Diagnosed back in 2011, Alan inherited the disease from his father. “I have this neuropathy and neurological disease,” Alan commented during an interview on the Today show. “It’s genetic that I inherited from my daddy. There’s no cure for it, but it’s been affecting me for years. And it’s getting more and more obvious.”

Alan Jackson’s sickness is a group of inherited disorders that cause nerve damage, mainly in the arms and legs. Alan has explained in the past that it is similar to Parkinson’s disease and Muscular Dystrophy.

He is Open About His Health Struggles Now

The artist first announced his diagnosis back in 2021.”I know I’m stumbling around stage now,” Alan said. “I’m having a little trouble balancing, even in front of the microphone. I just feel very uncomfortable.”

He feels that being open about his health struggles will explain why he doesn’t always walk correctly. Or why he is having trouble on stage.

65-year-old Alan Jackson, known for hits such as “Gone Country,” “Little Bitty,” and “Remember When,” has been touring for over three decades. “I’ve been touring for over 30 years – my daughters are all grown, we have one grandchild and one on the way. I’m enjoying spending more time at home. But my fans always show up to have a good time, and I’m going to give them the best show I can for this ‘Last Call.’”

As Alan says in his Instagram post video, “It’s time for one last good time!”

We will keep Alan in our prayers as he focuses on his health and this final tour, entertaining fans around the country with his music.
