Jon Bon Jovi and his wife, Dorothea Hurley, have been giving love a good name since high school.
The rocker gushed about falling “in love with the girl who was sitting next to [him] in history class” on “The Kelly Clarkson Show” Wednesday, revealing the note she left in his high school yearbook.
“John, write a sequal [sic] to ‘Bobby’s Girl’ but name it ‘She’s Johnny’s Now,” the message read. “Love, Dot.”

After the Grammy winner, 62, clarified that he “never” calls his partner by that nickname, he shared the story behind what she wrote.
“There was a song I had written called ‘Bobby’s Girl,’” he explained. “It was one of the first original songs I had written. She was dating my buddy Bobby.
“He went off to join the service as did my other two best friends,” the singer continued. “They joined the Navy. And it was my senior year of high school, and I just fell in love.”

Bon Jovi’s anecdote comes two months after he made headlines for scandalous remarks about his marriage while promoting his Hulu documentary, ““Thank You Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story.”
Not only did the songwriter admit to not being a “saint” while speaking to The Independent in April, but he also told Michael Strahan that he “got away with murder” later later that same week.
“I’m not saying that there weren’t 100 girls in my life,” the musician recalled. “I’m Jon Bon Jovi. It was pretty good.”
Notably, Hurley missed the doc’s New York City screening — but her husband’s rep blamed her absence on a COVID-19 diagnosis.
The karate instructor, 61, and Bon Jovi have been married since their 1989 Las Vegas elopement and share daughter Stephanie, 31, and sons Jesse, 29, Jake, 22, and Romeo, 20.
Their eldest son tied the knot in the same Sin City chapel in May, marrying wife Jesse Light.
As for Jake, mutliple outlets reported that same month that he secretly married “Stranger Things” alum Millie Bobby Brown in a “low-key, romantic” ceremony.
Bon Jovi called the nuptials “small” and “gorgeous” in a May interview on BBC’s “The One Show.”
The newlyweds seemingly honeymooned in Florida, with the actress, 20, wearing “WIFEY” shorts during a Universal Studios trip.
